"And He Will Sit By Me"

My children take life in the SLOW lane their first couple years.  Milestones are reached at a later date than most.  This used to worry me, but I've come to realize that it's just the way they roll.  Tagg, for example, didn't start crawling until he was 13 months.  He walked at 18.  And then, out of nowhere, they hop on the express and seem no further behind other kids their age.

Tagg is suddenly bursting with personality.  Two year olds are so dang cute!  I could just eat him up.  One thing he LOVES to do is sing.  I don't even think he is conscious of it.  He sings ALL THE TIME, and I love it.  I think just about any member of our church, worldwide, knows the words to  the song "I am a Child of God."

Here is how it really goes............
I am a child of God, and He has sent me here.
Has given me and earthly home with parents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me, help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do to live with him someday.

This is Tagg's version..............
I am a child of God, and He will sit by me.
Has given me an earthly home with presents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me, help me find the treats.
Teach me all that I must do to live with him someday.

Yep, I could eat him up.

Swimming with the Dolphins!

My parents came down in June and took us swimming with the dolphins!    They are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary next month, and this was an anniversary present for my mom.   Funny, we live an hour and a half from all the Orlando attractions and this is the first thing we've done.  My parents are awesome!  We had so much fun with them.  THANKS Mom and Dad!

Limo Ride

Reese had the privilege of marrying his boss last Friday.  Wait..........that didn't sound right.  Maybe I should say, had the privilege of performing the marriage ceremony of his boss.  It was a fantastic event, and we are so happy for you Mike and Chevi!
The wedding party rode together in this Hummer limo.  The kids were SO excited.
We were the first ones picked up so we had it to ourselves for about 40 minutes.   The kids ran and danced and jumped around as only they can.  They loved it.

Before...........

and after.

Flour and Burritos

The kids love it when we roll them up together in a blanket.  That's Payte at the top and I think Tay's feet sticking out.

A favorite Family Home Evening activity.  We make a little flour tower and put a penny on top.  One by one we cut the flour.  Whoever makes the penny drop has to find it and pull it out with their teeth.  The kids, of course, try to make the penny drop.

Summer Swimmin'

The girls found a little snake in the pool.  It actually let them play and swim with it for quite some time before slithering away.
Reese took the girls to the beach one day.  I sent him with sunscreen fully expecting it not to be used.  They came back nice and red.  We did the old chocolate chip melt on their burns.

Father's Day

The kids spelled DAD with their bodies.  We put the pics on a glass jar and filled it with candy for Reese to keep at work.  He loved it.  And let me tell ya......Flordia grass is not at all comfortable to lay in.
